I Shaved and Took In a Runaway #01 — Upskirtapalooza

Yeaaaaah, no.

Impressions:

While not quite as creepy as the other Monday show about an adult hitting on a teenage girl, this is still plenty creepy. Sure, he doesn't try to sleep with her, but everybody else on the production staff will stop at nothing to objectify and sexualize the girl that the story is saying should not be objectified and sexualized. It tails off in the second half, but I'm not sure there's a single 60 second section once she shows up that doesn't have the camera shoved into her crotch, her skirt barely covering her underwear, or down her chest to show off her cleavage. "It's wrong to take advantage of… such a succulent, delicious, sexy, erotic piece of jailbait" is quite the mixed message and still plenty goddamned disturbing. It also bears mentioning that they keep flirting through it. "Tee hee, you pervert." But not really, except really. It treats the only other female in the show, who's on screen for maybe 20 seconds, the same way.

Luckily, even if you ignore that, there's not much of anything to praise about the rest. The characters have no real chemistry. The dude in particular is as inert as a carbon rod. There's no banter to speak of. No dramatic elements that aren't covered by the title of the show. After covering… the title of the show… they go shopping, call each other a pervert and cute, and then it just unceremoniously ends. Someone learn a valuable lesson or do goddamned something to make the episode feel like a package. Except that I'm pretty sure that's what the final flirting bit was supposed to be. Hee hee, they are attracted to each other after all. Look at the romance budding. Except ew.

  • The Phantom says:

Yea this is another wet dream of another creepy author writing his fantasies about banging a teenage girl. The whole premise itself is beyond questionable and is just disgusting and creepy.

  • daren says:

Well, this is less bad than I thought it would be, as I initially read it as “I took a runaway girl in and shaved her”
