Is a furry on a segway really all the hook we're going for here?

Impressions:

There's something more than a little disturbing about a dude in a fursuit, staring at videos of teenage popstars in a dark room, cackling to himself in an over the top effeminate affectations, not helped by one of those boy band groups being called Twinkle Bell. I can't even make up a creepy metaphor for what that'd be like in a western show. It's already pretty damn close to peak disturbing.

No, I don't have anything more insightful to say than that. It's a relatively unambitious boy band show. There's no big dramatic element to it, just dudes wanting to be idols and do their best. It's not bombastic or well animated. No big dance sequences or attempt to win over through flexing its budget. There's no cutting comedic element. No insight or critique of the idol industry. No sausage-making stuff going on here, let alone casting couch. It's just… Another Goddamned Boy Band show.
