Zombieland Saga #09 — But Mooooooommmmmmm!

Impressions:
Not to repeat myself, but again, imagine if eating people was on the table with this show. Imagine if instead of some insipid crap about believing in yourself, Saki had shown up, ripped the rival gang apart, and scared the dumbass daughter straight by showing what real violence is. Or the dumbass figured out that her mother was traumatized by watching her dumb friend kill herself in the same dumb macho thing she was trying to do. Instead, we get sappy crap, based on her cheating no less, so they could segue not into "You know what's actually cool? Being a good mom and following your dreams." It's "You know what the real cool thing is? Being an idol!" I know it sounds like that's supposed to be a joke, or a parody of nonsense marketing, but it's not. It's not at all.
I think the real terror of this episode is that it reminded me that there's still at least two to four characters, depending on if we count the dude and the dog, whose godawful backstories we still have yet to suffer through. This show legitimately just makes me angry now.

Theres too many ways to state how this show has betrayed my expectations so im just gonna say this instead.
This show has become so much of a typical idol industry wankfest anime, that the zombie dog, that was a already barely used background character, has basically been written out of the show as well at this point along with the zombie angle. Why they are they even dead anymore? This show might as well just had the girls just be timeslpped into the present from their respective time periods cause the zombie angle is just a barely used gimmick.
