It's going to go back and review the harem origin story, isn't it?

Impressions:

There's certainly something to be said for it skipping the origin crap and jumping right into a dude confidently commanding an army with a bevy of bimbos at his beck and call. And yes, I feel fully justified in calling them bimbos. The first starts out bathing naked and rubbing her chest against him. The second begs for him to pat her head for being a good girl. The rest only get about two minutes each, just enough for most to fantasize about him sexing them up or to be awestruck by the awesomeness of his being. Skipping the terrible part of the protagonist's origin story isn't the same as him being a particularly good character though. Part of that is that he isn't given a single damn challenge or conflict in the episode. The best you can say is that he does the right thing at the end, and even that is shown by his harem gasping and ovulating in awe of him simply slamming his fist on a table… and then it goes straight into a bubblegum pop ED where they're all laying around naked. 

It all comes together to be basically an entire episode about how dreamy this kid is while he does jack squat. Better than screaming and having a fit every time his face is stuffed into cleavage, sure, but they could be doing all this to a pet guinea pig without any significant rewrites to the script. The animation is close to nonexistent most of the time, but especially in the sole battle at the start, so there's nothing to draw anybody in there, nor is there any military tactic involved besides "I looked up phalanxes, and then I used phalanxes." Even that's undermined when Haremette #01 pulls magic out of her ass. Where's the Wikipedia article about that, jackass?
