Did someone lose the second half of the script?
Impressions:
I blame the slow week due to the holidays for me giving this the time of day, but I may have to revisit that sentiment depending on how long I can last through this Fate/GO OVA I have sitting on deck. At least it's OG (well, anime OG) Milky Holmes instead of the ritalin version. Still has all the problems of the second go round where all of them are reduced to a singular screaming blob. Sure, one member of the blob may scream operatically, and another one may do it more nasally, but long gone are the days when they were actual characters, let alone capable of more incidental humor as an actual story played out.
This one managed to pick up two more additional problems; only getting halfway through a single episode in 22 minutes with no second episode to come, and it being about how Arsene is mopey because they're attracted to 'sexy' new villains instead of her. So she dressed up once, gets laughed at because it's so transparen, and they call that the end of the episode. There may have been boob missiles involved, but at that point, the joke had been flayed to the bone and I was just praying for it to end. And yet, the weirdest part of the whole thing was probably the insert song that kicked in at the start of Arsene's grand plan. It's like they made the standard pop FRIENDSHIP YAY song, but had no idea where to put it, so just settled for wherever. Thanks, marketing.

Jesus Christ, the Feathers are in this? Why won’t they go away?
Milky Holmes have been back to their old selves since the “protect the idol” series they did a couple years ago. I don’t blame you for missing it because the plot was “aren’t idols great, and also magical,” but since everyone else in the series already had their own magic in the Toys, they had to invent a new kind of magic that included annoying chibi characters, who ditch her for some stupid reason.
