My Hero All To Myself #01 — The Twink Adventures

July 8th, 2017

As exciting as you might expect.

Impressions:

God only knows why I bothered though. The most notable thing about this episode is the protagonist's hair style abruptly changing without remark or reason at the commercial break, which threw me for a second. Granted, I was already fairly zoned out, but I did go back and make sure that yes, they hadn't actually noted it at all. And when every character is a pointy chinned identical clone, you probably don't want to be making 'radical' shifts like that. I guess at least it wasn't as oppressive with its usual tropes for the standard boy-romance thing. The tops barely showed up at all. It was just the two bottoms being star-struck every time their top walked into the room, squirming in their innate insecurity and inability to have any ambition, desire, or goal in life, and making faces at each other for the most part. But then what is there? Just two insecure teenage boys being insecure. And a half-dead cat. So I think I would've almost preferred if someone had shown up and asked if they ordered the extra sausage.
