Akashic Records #10 — Repetition is the Sincerest Form of… Something
June 6th, 2017
It's the joke that only gets funnier each time!
Impressions:
It's the start of a new arc, which means a godawful filler episode and time to introduce the new antagonist who'll be kidnapping Blondie next week. Unless this is a four episode arc to end the series, in which case the kidnapping might not happen until the week after. I'm already at the edge of my seat. The first third or so was mainly concerned with namedropping random things, the next third with introducing our aforementioned new antagonist, Catface's childhood friend who's a teacher and declared himself to be her fiance which is totally not stalkerish in the slightest, and the last third with the 'hilarious' and totally surprising thing where she claims Glenn is her boyfriend to get him to back off. It's the C plot that every bad sitcom goes through, except instead of being a mere C plot for a few gags, it's going to stretch across multiple episodes as everyone takes it completely seriously because they all have the wherewithal of a dead guppy.

Considering it’s 12 episodes, she gets kidnapped next week and saved the week after that for an harem ending full of jealous girls saying they wish they were kidnapped instead.
