Impressions:

How far away the first episodes seem and what a different tone from this disgustingly sappy romance thing. First of all, isn't Ashi like… 15? Second, who the hell wanted a corny romance episode of this show, full of awkward moments, stammering apologies, blushing, and boner jokes? And perhaps most importantly, why did we have  a random monster of the week bit having nothing to do with… well, anything? Maybe we could've 30 seconds away from the teenage flirting and used that to connect it to Aku or the greater plot in at least some token way. But nope. Not even that. They literally just fall into some random spaceship with a random leech-monster that melts clothing so we can go as awful with this as possible. It's probably a miracle that the leeches didn't transform into a tentacle monster.
