Frame Arms Girl #01 — CGI Ass

April 3rd, 2017

Asses, technically.

Impressions:

The very first thing you'll see if you start watching this is a close up of a doll's CGI ass in underwear. Okay, fine. That's the OP. How about the actual show? Distant shots of scenery. CGI vehicles. CGI drone. More scenery. A crow. Jailbait in hotpants so short they likely don't even qualify as underwear, aaaand we're back to upskirt shots. And more upskirt shots. And exposition. And more upskirt shots. And an explanation of how to put together figures. Aaaand back to CGI drones and crows before the second half has the world's crappiest fight and somehow even worse third and fourth characters. All through the entire thing, the weirdly chirpy music plays, almost independent of events transpiring.

I'm not going to go so far as to say that it physically pained me, but it did go far enough to tempt me to do so. I'm about 99% certain that this was conceived as just another Beyblade/Yo-kai Watch/Gundam Build Fighters knockoff to sell the toy line, but due to the toys being females and not being able to secure one of the juicy Saturday morning time slots, they had to age it up. However, it was too late to do anything besides toss in a bunch of panty shots, so here we are. It's banal to the extreme. There's no story, period. I don't even need to qualify it with "to speak of." Characters have a trait or two to quasi-define them, sort of like the seven dwarfs, but not quite so developed as to have things in their life like mining for gems.
