Tanya the Absent #10 — Waiting to Exhale

March 17th, 2017

How are there still two more episodes of this drek left?

Impressions:

This is well past the point where it should be focusing down and adding some kind of weight, antagonist, challenge, or really anything to the story to give a finale, even if it's just a break before the next season. Which isn't to say they don't seem aware of it. The blood has ramped up slightly again, and a bunch of the peanut gallery hundreds of miles away from the action ramble at length about how this means the end of the war. However, it's Just Another Tanya Episode. I'm not sure she was even around for more than a quarter of the runtime. There were maps that probably had almost as much screentime as the titular character.

Everything is smiles and celebrations the whole way through, so the leash is going to be jerked back, right? The high before the fall so they have something to come back from, right? The whole episode is spent waiting for that, and it only comes in literally the last few seconds. What is it? One grunt on her team gets (maybe) killed in an ambush. That's it. That's all of it. That's the grand challenge that the protagonists will have to overcome heading into the finale. I simply don't get what the writers of this show are thinking at all. Probably because it's nothing.

3 Shouts From the Peanut Gallery

take into the account the preproduction time. Perhaps here is the culprit of this mess, they forgot to have meetings to talk about the direction their future show will take..

    so:
to many cooks mess up the stew now, because the Chief Cook was not there
