Does that even count as a gag?
Impressions:
Here we have the first of our idol shows. Oh wait, it's just a group of all girls, training to be nationally popular stars in performing arts where they dress up in fancy costumes. Completely different. Well, at least it's not as abhorrent as many of its ilk since it does lean more towards the weird and higher energy than just idol prosaicness. Not that it's approaching humorous situations. The closest thing for most of it is that one of the girls communes with animals, so explains that she acts like them, then explains what an animal would do, then does it, repeatedly, and other characters make weird faces and comment on how it is unusual to do the thing that she is doing. And by all that, I pretty much mostly just mean lifts her shirt to expose her stomach (or others') as a sign of apology/submission, thus fulfilling the fanservice quota too. That would also be about 95% of her 'animal' gimmick for the episode. Apparently they can't think of too many things to do with it and are rationing the gags out.
As for the rest of the content, it meanders around, getting more and more exposition heavy as the episode continues, but nothing that could approach a story or anything beyond "Here's each character, their fortune-telling style, and their main personality gimmick." The seeming lead from the focus at the start quickly blends in to just another shrieking voice of the crowd as everything squibs out to nothing. Perhaps it has a little more energy or yelling than your usual "girls in a club" thing, more at the start than the end, but if you're looking for any kind of humor, likeable characters, animation, or story, continue your futile quest elsewhere.
Next Episode:
Please drown.

Is there like… an alpaca lobby that demands every japanese animation contains at minimum one alpaca, if even only as a cameo?
