Qualidea Code #05 — YOU DON’T GET ME!

August 6th, 2016

YOU DON'T GET HOW I FEEL!

Quasi-Impressions:

Welp, I'm done with this, even if they didn't immediately bring the 'dead' girl back to life. Hell, if not for the two or three minutes in the middle of Angst Boy yelling that nobody understands his feelings and then crying about not understanding feelings, you might almost think she was visiting her parents or something. Instead, this episode mostly focused on the girl that I considered a scant saving grace of the show and proceeded to prove that that was only because she hadn't gotten any focus yet, because goddamned, is she boring too. And the episode went goddamned nowhere and did goddamned nothing, only to end on a swarm of alien whatsits rising out of the ocean sky yet again. What is this, the fourth time? But this time, it's super duper serious. Because the skies are red or something.

I have to say I am very interested, specially with black haired swordwoman pretty much getting a death flag this episode, and blondie seemingly dead for real.

I still can’t take those cutesy monster as treating but is at least going somewhere. It just needs to keep the dead count rising.

    SO FUCKING BORING…
    I’m done with this anime.

  • arknoir says:

I caught up with this anime, but I’m still hung up on last episodes’s climax. I say sue this studio, shiny entertainment as that climax is copyrighted.

This show is weird. It’s getting interesting with death flags showing up, possibly dead character actually staying dead, and seeing if the show goes into darker territory, pushing whatever characters are left behind to their limits. But the horrible execution/animation of the story (last episode’s climax sucked donkey balls) and lack of any interesting character development make it boring. The only really interesting characters from my pov is Hime and the Chiba twins. Even with the Chiba twins, raising a death flag on the sister and pushing the “whatever, it’s not my job” brother would be interesting to watch.

I still think some kind of deus ex machina will happen by the end and everyone will be happy in the hot springs. Guess watching a lot of anime does that to a person. Then my brain can be lazy and not participate in any critical or constructive thought.
