Re:Zero's broadcast is pushed back two hours due to tennis. We'll see if CR gets the message, but it would appear not.

Impressions:

That starting segment was a pretty impressive display of "We have no budget so here's a shot of nothing while we play some sounds of punches." And then later, the same thing, but with gunfire. Even the pop idol concert was basically just floating heads and stills. The budget this week could have used another rummage through the couch to find a little more change, but this and the previous episode were also painfully obviously one episode stretched out to two when they realized that they couldn't fit all the insert songs into a single episode, so it probably only had the budget of one stretched out between the two.

So yeah, it was a bit glacial. They spent a minute or two to distract their captors, then double distract them with a flashbang, thereby enacting their grand plan to apparently sit there. I don't even know why they did it in the first place. The baddies were more than content to stand around monologuing to these random jackasses. Who needs things like shackles or to take people into custody when you can just spend half the episode droning at them like bores in the middle of an attack? Oh, and I guess they spend three or four minutes faffing over the brainwashed soldier for family or whatever before, uh… the magic idolness awakens or whatever? But mostly an excuse to fit in more insert songs. We've got singles to sell after all.
