How is Hundred looking like a palatable show for today?

Impressions:

This didn't make any kind of case for itself either. What part of fantasy adventure is "sit around and listen to exposition?" Why even bother giving him a sword? Or having a barely dressed catgirl flash her cleavage and crotch? We've got things to explain! Why we need them explained? Hell if I know. Maybe that'll be explained in a future episode, along with where the already meager budget went. Who even is the catgirl? Also to be explained in a future episode. This one successfully established that she has tits. In the meantime, here's about seven minutes straight of eating followed by a dragon vomiting up the obligatory magical girlfriend. That. That is the cliffhanger. That there's a mysterious magic girlfriend. Coming at the end of the second episode. This may actually be making Re:Zero seem fast paced.
