Anne Happy #02 — Obligatory Mascot Character

It's funny because… Because… Because… uh…
Kabaneri's (and Assassination Classroom, Maid Boy, and Sakamoto's) broadcast was pre-empted this week due to coverage of the earthquake in Japan. I believe all the 'simulcasts' are being delayed as well. I'll try to keep an eye open, but there's no indication where or when it'll pop up at the moment, so I might be a little delayed (relatively speaking) in getting around to it, especially if it pops up in the middle of the day.
Impressions:
And with Kabaneri temporarily out, I glanced briefly at this and the net game thing before deciding which one of the two I'd rather endure for the afternoon and/or as excuse for posting the above. One was twenty minutes of sitting around a table, the 'hilarity' of hiding it from classmates, more sitting around tables, and then the big finale was that they were going to be in a 'club.' This at least seemed to be somewhat weird and be a little bit more visually stimulating, although no less full of closeups of poorly drawn pubescent breasts. That said, this started pretty atrociously by spending a few minutes reviewing everyone's gimmick from last week. Not recycling the jokes. Just reviewing what the jokes were.
Things would not improve significantly from there. It's hard to tell if the painful helium-voiced rabbot creature helped or hurt things. It was sort of a distraction from them just doing the same stupid jokes with different props through the entirety of the first half, but it was also possibly even more irritating to listen to then the breathy pink one's constant nasally gasping. I couldn't even tell you what the humor involving it was supposed to be. That it's weird? And what joke is not improved by running a camera down particularly awful CGI stairs? It's like a four year old trying to write jokes. The only real humor is in how awkward everything is.

I don’t understand how you could have chosen this to watch today over the MMO show. Sure, it’s a “game” anime that is going nowhere slowly, but at least their voices don’t make me want to rip my own ears off.
