Comet Lucifer #03 — Behold My Giant Holographic Dick Avatar!
October 18th, 2015
That wacky stalker!
Impressions:
Thus begins the last Sunday I will be touching all three of these as I tell myself that I need to make some kind of decision here. And with this beginning with a minute of 'wacky' comedy about the magical pet worm rock stealing sandwiches and getting into fights over it, this has already brained itself on the starting gate. It then tore its hamstring by following it up with a date montage and finished the job with the introduction of a ridiculous antagonist hacker who hugs himself with arousal and glee constantly and in his defeat, had part of his hair shaved off in a reverse mohawk. I wonder if they think the tone problems are cute or funny? He also seemingly threw the city into chaos and sent robots rampaging through it because she accidentally hit him in the face with a pie using her telekinesis. They gave a very, very half hearted attempt from the main antagonist stable to say that this other time he had some grander plan, but there was no trace of that at all here. Just some guy took a dessert to the chops, and then immediately ran off to a dark room to touch himself and chase after a little girl. So obviously, the antagonists then recruit him. Did I mention that he holographically projects himself as a giant mushroom dick?
So yes, it's still written by and presumably for mad people with characters acting without any regard for logic. Any merits it has in the production are crippled by just about everything else. At least this episode showed a little bit of the animation and action that the first did, but the writing and directing are all over the place, and that place is a sloppy mess on the floor.
Next Episode:
Cloudy with a chance of CGI corn.

This keeps getting better and better.
And by that I mean it’s awful, just awful.
