Oh no! Not green cubes!

Impressions:

How nice of the Bunny Girl to rejoin the story, after going unhinged from basically nothing in a very sad attempt to sell the closing seconds of the episode. And after only five straight minutes of Shirtless standing there, rock still, as we go through a bunch more flashbacks at the start too. Basically, it’s the same as every other episode from the past month and a half or so, only with the action pushed more towards the end than the beginning. We’re still dragging our heels with getting anything done and everyone still seems content to try to talk each other’s ears off about how they’re totally going to do something, yet only really ever get around to trying that for a minute or two. I think half of Adlet’s lines this episode might have just been yelling her name.

I guess it’s better to end on a high note than to start on a high note and gradually suck all life out of the episode, although it wasn’t so much end as hit the high point at about the 14 minute mark and go right back to chatting. I’m also a little curious who thought the cube pixel things were a good visual effect. Probably the same person who suggested all that bizarre spinning in circles about a month and a half ago. It’s a good thing the characters were saying how powerful it was too, because otherwise, it might’ve just come off as some really ugly-ass particle effects from the PSX era.
