Why is the thing that happened that a thing failed to happen?
Impressions:
Another waste of an episode that I think actually may have moved things backwards, and is certainly straining my patience. It’s a good thing Charlotte’s second episode was nearly just as miserable (or I guess Rokka could still out-awful both). The antagonist popped up in Ruri’s place to taunt him for a little while, then simply wandered off. Meanwhile, some of the red crowds attacked a goddamned mall where the defenders of the planet just happened to be holding a meet and greet, and Tsubasa spontaneously lost the ability to transform for no real reason, but immediately became another edition of “Hajimessu’s So Great and Makes Everyone Feel Better By Telling Them They Just Need To Be Happy” after Tsubasa accidentally knocked one of the red ones onto some old woman.Â
At least they didn’t spout much nonsense about social media this week, although at this point, they’ve all but ruled out the one potentially interesting thing they could have done with the social media angle; showing the actual outcome of their ‘awesome’ system; tyranny of the majority, which they seem completely oblivious about. The clown was also once again singing and dancing in her breasts. The way they keep reminding us that he’s alive just leads me to the inevitable dread that he’ll be popping out to rehash his schtick as awful last boss.

Please don’t tell me the entire main conflict boils down to “Some people use the Internet for bad, dangerous things, should we abolish it?”. Since that is very much the antagonist’s train of thought.
Also notice how he’s got his mouth covered, the only body part shown during their magical bubble emoticons of color parades.
