Boy, that was woven into the narrative quite organically.

Impressions:

Uh, I don’t think you should be mixing attempted murder with your slapstick comedy. Well, I guess the comedy was already kind of dead, so maybe it’s fitting.  This episode was unfortunately a pretty big step down from the first in just about every way, but especially the protagonist who has completed his journey from dick to convenient pair of ears for other people to whinge at. So much for a personality, huh? I really liked the part this week where he stared blankly into space as other people talked his ear off.

Breaking the episode down, we have about five minutes of exposition, five minutes of hunting down some other psychic abusing his powers to look at underwear (because the internet doesn’t exist in this world), a couple minutes of “She’s So Quirrrrrky!”, of which it was not at all, and then it was time to deliver melodramatic flashbacks and eighty thousand metric tonnes of angst with all the grace of an elephant base jumping. And all the connection to anything going on as one as well.
