Show by Rock! #07 — Stupid Questions

This episode was stupid in the bad way.
Impressions:
Why did the protagonists even bother to show up this week? Wait, no, if the random schmucks can kill the giant monsters, then why is Cathead even the chosen one at all? And if the evil whatever can just possess/infect people, then why the hell are they using giant skeletons and trees? And why were they freaked out by tiny little monsterish things, but bravely jumped right into the fight against the same kind of thing when it was the size of a skyscraper that immediately roars them across the cityscape? Why haven’t they been trying to use action scenes like the one here the whole time? How exactly are they physically stronger than tree monsters the size of buildings? Can just anybody turn their guitar into a giant sword?
I’ve made my peace that this won’t be a drug-fueled Japanese version of Kidd Video at this point (and that was a show that had a fairy in an exercise outfit and leg warmers, so it was already pretty drug-fueled to begin with), but that doesn’t excuse all the other basic nonsense and holes that filled this episode. At least maintain your internal consistency instead of… whatever the hell this was. A half-assed haunted house episode that traded plot holes for a vain attempt to look cool, I guess.

Cathead is chosen to play the Impossible New song. So in a case she is the Deus Ex Machina for the Black Music Guy
And i get a felling the Guy held in the Studio captive has a connection with Cyan’s Guitar. He has nearly the same voice for me. Perhaps he override Cyan’s playing skills in the scene of episode 1
But *yawn* Black goo monster took over some member.. Oh well, lets see
