Tales of Zestiria Special — Generic RPG Beginning Type 1
December 30th, 2014

Didn’t bother to try here, huh?
Milky Holmes has a two hour special tomorrow extremely early my time (like, 2am), which includes the first two episodes of the new season. I’ll get to at least the first whenever I wake up tomorrow.
Impressions:
Wow, was this boring. It’s like they took the first hour of an especially generic RPG, simply removed the tutorials and tutorial dungeon, and called it a day, because you know what’s really exciting? Exposition, exposition, and exposition. With no action at all except about sixty seconds of bonking ineffectually on some fox guy, if it was trying to make me excited about the game, it failed. Dismally. The worst part may have been the teasing at the start. Oh, here’s a giant spider. I bet that’s the first boss fi… No, they ran away. Okay, there’s a boar. Wait, no. They’re eating the moss. Your exciting adventure, ladies and gentlemen.
I think the thing that may have worried me the most though was that the villagers from a tiny village either looked like they all came from different continents of the Rainbow World, or were exactly identical to the person they were standing next to, including males and females. I can only assume that family is very, very, very close in this village. And yes, that did stick out. Because I was bored. Because this was very boring. As boring as watching putzes watch fireworks boring.
