Oh no! I have a slight, possibly temporary disability! Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!
Oops. Need to hit “Publish” before I go off to do other things.
Impressions:
Once again, I feel like the question here is “And?” or maybe “So what?” Every one that did something (for a broad definition of ‘did’) sort of maybe lost some sense that should supposedly get better. And even if it doesn’t, let’s remember that we started out with a girl in a wheelchair lamenting her powerlessness. It’s not even like they’re having to particularly cope with these things or they’re causing them any real difficulties. The most they can muster up is some half-assed “I can’t taste her snacks!” which is sadly, not even a euphemism. It’s hard to even think it’s anything more than just random as well, so I don’t have the faintest idea where they think they’re going with this, although at this point, that’s pretty much the show’s battlecry.
And there’s really nothing else to the episode except repeating that over and over and over again. Obviously, they’re not done fighting evil triangles or whatever, so what was the point here? To try to go backward and have an emo-fest over… my tongue’s numb, or I can’t hear as well out of one ear, but it’s totally temporary, is a step in a direction I don’t understand whatsoever, let alone Karin’s angst over it. Boy, I sure wish I was… marginally disabled too? They’re not even taking it in the cliche “world saved but nobody left to fight, so I’ll just fight whoever or become a villain” direction. Hell, they don’t even seem to particularly acknowledge that they saved the world from the menace of triangles when there’s the looming spectre of… having poor eyesight in one eye. Ow, my angst!
