Brynhildr #10 — Transitive Properties of Spit

Subtle censoring.
Impressions:
You end in four episodes, why a new OP? And why not use some of that money to animate the episode instead? Oh wait, that’s why it’s mostly clips. And are you even going to get to any of these characters in it at all? And could you make it any more obnoxious?
Anyway, good god. Not seven minutes into the episode, the evil organization goes “Oh right, she’s gone,” and liquidizes her. That’s right. That’s her entire arc. Slipping the leash, prostituting herself, the protagonists going “Maybe we can be friends” and then she dies. And then everyone goes to the beach. Okay, maybe I’m being a little deliberately misleading. They take a test between her death and tits time. And piss on about the transitive property of spit. And then the episode ends with the antagonists going “This super evil witch will get ’em!” Because the plot is apparently just a hamster wheel. Â
So no, it was not a good episode in any way at all. The second half was just padding, figurative and literal, while the first half was a singularly godawful end to that terrible arc. The new OP was easily the most interesting thing and made me worry for a minute that this was actually going to be a 2 season show, and I just don’t have it in me. I don’t think they do either as we entire the goddamned third arc in a row that has begun a cliffhanger of “This witch is the extra worst one!” At least they gave her a pile of jammy bodies to make sure the evil organization stayed at comically evil levels of both incompetence and ability to cover things up.
Next Episode:
Stairs.

The second half sure was funny. I know it was because it had that wacky music and sound effects.
