Now that’s a design that strikes fear into the enemies.
Impressions:
It was certainly better than last week’s episode, but at the same time, it feels like the entire show has decided to lean into being really stupid. And that’s with just outright ignoring the tentacle rape, clothes dissolving scene and subsequent awakening of the inner mecha. Of course, that just leaves “joining the student council” as the horrid progress for the episode otherwise. At least they’re making it relatively easy to imagine that Becky’s the actual protagonist and recruiting a bunch of horny teenagers into her personal bisexual harem. I suppose they are still doing a decent job with the horribly cliche characters aside from Eco. Cliches are cliche for a reason after all. I’d still prefer them breaking the mold a bit more, but even blondie is having her own little arcs (and getting slapped for insecurity too, which is important) to the side of the more pressing things.
But let’s get back to the stupid. Both Ash and Becky’s outfits are corny as all hell and look like they just poached the designs from Saint Seiya and Muv Luv respectively. And as long as we’re poaching things, if the He-Man sword raise to summon the tentacle goo dragon was supposed to be evil or badass looking, it was not. And speaking of which, that thing spent more time having pieces of it blasted off it than it did doing anything else (besides having its internal tentacles send Eco on a psychic journey of awakening with her inner pedophile). Also, why was she covering her still-nippleless chest?
Next Episode:
Bloody blondes.

People need something to see forward too with the BDs?
