How could the plot have advanced without you?
Impressions:
Extremely uneventful episode mainly concerned with introducing a few new characters but not having them actually do anything. One of them literally appeared out of nowhere, gave a spiel about how mysterious and magical he was, and then just said “Go here to advance the plot.” This coming from a guy that appeared out of thin air no less. And then there were the antagonists bumming around town who proceeded to later recap what the protagonists did, or more specifically, hadn’t done. And then a montage. At this point, I think they remembered that it was a show about magic, so they blew up a whole chicken and then told ghost stories.
I guess all the supposedly interesting things were supposed to be the stuff from the last five minutes (or about 2 minutes of actual content); magic lightning dogs and shockingly, that the idiot has no idea what she’s doing or really why. Oh, and I guess that there’s apparently an entire dragoon (to use the word much less wrongly) of morons running around trying to Frankenstein the ancient wizard or whatever. You’d think that’d have been something interesting that they could have shown going on, but no. Apparently a little dry exposition is it for that.Â
But at least there were CGI horses. A victory for equality in modes of transportation represented by looking like ass.
Next Episode:
Cat.
