The internet lied to me. The YQ episode I grabbed was the fourth episode of the original TV series mislabeled as the new OVA. What kind of world do we live in where the internet lies? Anyway, there’s another OVA episode of Yozakura out there somewhere. Apparently a flashback/origin story about Yuuhi and Mariabelle or something. I know it exists… somewhere.

Impressions:

The above was really the main excuse for making this post. I guess I can say that this episode disappointed me less than Glasses’s second episode did, but it had nowhere near as far to fall. It was like in every single scene, someone asked the question "Is this stupid enough yet?" and if the answer was no, then by gods, they were going to try their hardest to make it stupider. Everything from moaning over equipment… twice… to Craphead McBoring either groping or soaking literally the entire cast and getting slapped nearly half a dozen times.

The big thing though, is the goddamned cat balls. Oh, you might be saying, this is just Aroduc catching some random few frames or stills and blowing it out of proportion, but I ask you this. Why the hell did someone draw a pair of testicles coming out of a cat’s butt and make sure they were on screen in every single shot of the cat for nearly twenty straight seconds? Do they believe that is where the testicles are located? Did someone just doodle some balls on the art and the whole staff thought it was a laugh riot? Is there some actual reason in the source to make sure we know that the cat has testicles? Are they testing the water and next will be horse balls? Christ man. This very well could be the most noteworthy thing this piece of junk does. Too many questions. I fear the answers.
