Slap are almost as melodramatic as rain.

Preview should be up Tuesday. Hopefully. Nothing of note (besides RDG) is scheduled to be broadcast until a week from Wednesday anyway.

Impressions:

Feeeeeeeeeeeelings. Nothing more than… FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELINGS.

The big surprise this week is that the idol group George has jumped from 21st place last week to 3rd this week. George. I also prefer to think that George is not actually an idol group, but just some guy named George. And he’s their rival who has secretly been machinating everything behind the scenes. It would certainly make how joyless 90% of this episode was a lot more interesting.

I think they may have begun by just drawing Honker in as many tortured melodramatic crying faces as possible and then just going from there. After the initial collapsing melodrama was summarily dealt with in the first half, there was a brief intermission to dress up the alpacas and have Niko prance around before it was straight back into Her-Name-Escapes-Me leaving for parts unknown and right back to wallowing in the melodrama again, because god knows, nothing can go on without one character out of nearly a dozen that hasn’t had a point since about episode 3. Also, isn’t the point of these big idol groups that any one of them can and will be replaced at the drop of the hat? Yes, I know there’s the whole crap here about friendship, but if you want to be a real idol group like George, you best be getting used to this.
