Ixion Saga DT #08 — Abuse of Small Animals

November 25th, 2012

As terrible as that thing is, it probably doesn’t deserve to be pasted to his junk.

Impressions:

More of the same. The glowing thing was just an excuse for him to become some random city’s pope. A large chunk of the episode was spent on him preeching about the ‘miraculous’ future of video game consoles alone. You’ve got to at least admire their attempt to drag that joke out for as long as they did. Especially given how few other jokes were actually in the episode. It was like watching one of those really really terrible old commercials. Not the kind with Segata Sanshiro either. Just the kind where people scream about how it has MULTIPLAYER or BLAST PROCESSING and other such nonsense.

Then he flew off in a balloon and spontaneously stopped glowing again. What an absolutely fascinating little episode and a half arc. The main thing I have to say is that it bothered me more than it should have that his clothing was somehow glowing too, especially the giant hat. And that they seemed to have forgotten it at least once. Lazy artists.

    • bk47 says:

there is no countdown he could not do it with a harem of sexy fanatical followers( a guy that was seduced by a game avatar )
he will never score or if he does it will be horribly and/or traumatic (like with a tentacle monster)

Where are those sunglares when you needed them?

I actually like this anime. storyline is zilch, but some of the funnies are o.k though I had a beef with him dissing the Sega Saturn. At that point it was kon-troll for me.

A fine episode. The gaming console jokes are being overused, though.
