Impressions:

The second episode remains more or less the same as the first. It could still probably stand to be a little more subtle, especially with the monologue at the end. Yes, Japan. I know you have an intrinsic love of spelling every single thing out, but ye lords. At least it’s (seemingly) moving along and she’s changing into a happier, more well-adjusted person instead of wallowing in the same bad cliche because CHANGE BAD. Whether or not they actually follow through with it in any meaningful way is yet to be seen. Their comfort and chemistry together remains nice enough though and supports the low key humor through the episode well.

The episode also served to introduce two new characters, Natsume the internet junkie and random baseball guy. It seemed for a moment that one or either of them were going to instigate some pathetic attempt at a love triangle or even just a little jealousy at attention being paid to another girl, but apparently the two would rather just push the leads together for whatever not-particularly-well-defined reason. Possibly out of some kind of breeding experiment. Baseball guy also suffered from subtlety issues. "Here I am! Here’s my name! Let me tell you some background information that isn’t really needed. Okay, bye!" You really couldn’t think of any other way to handle it besides that? Really?
