Needs more balls, less jabbering.

Impressions:

Well, it sort of started well, with ball crushing and whatnot. That’s about where the excitement… and the budget more or less ended though. The next ten straight minutes, including most of the bloody OP, were just one long, cheap, pathetic info dump slash number spew. Could they have at least thought of a less obnoxious gimmick? At least it probably shortened the amount of pointless stills by a few seconds. It made me have to actually concentrate for a few moments though, and you know how I hate that.

They did put at least a little token effort into the actual fight though, surprisingly enough. 95% of it was still spent on stills, talking to each other, and bystanders explaining events in progress, but it was about as good as the best of the first season. Behold the power of rock bottom expectations, I guess. Still not even in the ballpark to what Chuu2 was just using as a silly joke, mind you, but hey, compared to the twelve or so straight minutes of pans and infodumping that I expected to be twenty, it’s certainly a step up from how the show was last time around.
