How are they selling magical girl lesbian porn without a single sweaty otaku around?
Impressions:
Oh boy, a Comiket Comic Extreme Market segment, no doubt tossed up since the real thing is in a week and a half. Only this one takes place in a strange alternate universe where there is not a single man, so instead of being a packed mess of sweaty anguish, it looked like it was about 40 women total idly wandering around in a giant hall. It mainly served as an excuse for Chitose to have fantasies about cosplay, and I’ve already said how thrilled I am whenever she starts dominating the screentime and jokes. I’m not even sure how you can have a Comiket episode without sweaty nerds packing the place. Besides, after Komugi’s Comiket episode that ended with the ugly Big Sight transforming into a mecha, all other Comiket episodes have paled.
The second half wasn’t great either, but it had a couple moments. I could have done without the usual Himawari/Sakurako nonsense since they haven’t thought of a new joke using it since episode 2, but the delusion about magical girl Akarin (with rocket dumplings!) fighting the evil Chinatsu who turned her invisible was at least a move in a much better direction. At this point, I think the writers forgot everything they’ve written abou Chinatsu to date and turned her into an aggressive indiscriminate sexual predator who proceeded to chase Akari down, mount her, and embark on a tongue expedition for the back of her throat. So much for subtlety. I guess it’s a step in a better direction considering how little personality she’s had to date… just not one that makes any sense. I’m not sure what Akari’s so distressed about anyway. It’s not like there are any males in her world.
