I use the show’s full title because I am cross with it.

As a reminder, Penguindrum and Blood Sea are not being broadcast this week. Interestingly though, Niconico’s (Japanese) Webcast appears to be continuing uninterrupted (at least for now). Assuming it doesn’t take next week off, it’ll beat the terrestrial broacast by a day and air episode 6 next Wednesday. Who knows!

Impressions:

Let’s see… Konoe is in a skintight cheongsam, the outlines of her breasts and hips plainly visible, she clearly shaves her legs and armpits, and is draped all over Jirou and yet, nobody can figure out her secret. The Japanese capacity for self-delusion is fairly astounding. She has cleavage. And is about five feet tall so her breasts are in the line of sight of just about anybody who talks to her. Just exactly how has her secret not been discovered by anybody before now? I’m rarely impressed by the situational awareness of characters in anime, but I feel like this is a new low.

Anyway, despite beginning and ending with Masamune, there actually wasn’t much of her this week, thankfully. Well, to be fair, there wasn’t much of anything this week and what little did exist was swept under the rug about 9 minutes later. What little of Usami they did show was still unpleasant and about 35% flashback anyway. There was a very brief introduction to Narumi, the busty cat-eared girl that we haven’t seen since episode 1 who is a BL-crazed fangirl. I’m not really sure what differentiates her from other members of the cast either, except perhaps that she has larger breasts, cat ears, and glasses, three fetishes not yet covered by other characters.
