Impressions:

As I’ve said before, this show seriously has no idea how to do an episodic episode well despite being comprised of nothing but them. I fear that this may be about as good as it is ever going to get. It had a ridiculous knife fight. And… that’s about it. Some noblegirl makes perfume. CHEMISTRY BAD! Everybody’s dead. QED. Oh yeah, and Dalian was treed by a cat. There’s your ‘character development’ for the week.

As usual, Hugh and Dalian randomly stumble into some affair, this time while waiting in line for fried bread, and besides the knife fight and fairly unnecessary healing spell afterwards, get simply dragged from place to place by the plot because they apparently had absolutely nothing else planned for the day. Meanwhile the rest of the cast inexplicably feels the need to immediately shout out their motivations before dying a moment or two later. So what if they’re some crazy guy with a knife who just killed an entire household? That doesn’t mean you can’t be chatty.
