If you were curious, Softenni’s third DVD special was the girls just staring at Chitose’s breasts and squeezing their own… or hers. This was about the only screencap that wasn’t recycled from the previous specials that did not involve a closeup of an areola. You’re letting me down here, Xebec. I preferred MM!’s random tickle tortures to this.

Impressions:

I know that I make my not-particularly-high opinion of the show clear, but they really phoned it in this week by being all over the place with nary a connection between any of the parts. It may as well have been about four different mini-episodes for all the cohesion. Really, show? You’re going to start with jokes about ‘gay’ porn of Subaru and Jirou, random beach montages, inn antics and whatnot, and then suddenly bawling over dead parents? Then we follow this with a yukata fashion show and Nakuru stripping/tickling half the cast to death. Uh huh.

My patience for this show is probably particularly low this week because even if Milky Holmes’s special was kind of average for it, that was so much better handled on both the comedy and dramatic fronts, although a lot of that is likely because the drama was saved for the end and built to through the episode instead of awkwardly sandwiched between vignettes that weren’t even really related to each other, let alone it. The show’s rushing through the cliches, comedic and dramatic, has long since gone from something that mildly amused me to something that just irritates me, largely because Usami and Narumi dilute the show’s little focus even further and both manage to be even more irritating than Jirou. It’s the same as it was in episode 1-3 or so, only splitting across more and worse characters that are mainly distinguishable by their chest size and skin tone.
