The End of an Era: Romannad to Be Released

July 31st, 2011

I’m not sure if I was even blogging when Chinchilla Soft first announced Clannad RPG Romannad (good god, why?), and after close to half a decade, it will finally be released. What’s with the surge of Romancing SaGa clones in the doujin world lately anyway? First Genius of Sappheiros, now this. It does look rather nice though, and voice acting, weird as the different voices sound, is impressive for a retro-SNESy doujin RPG. Although keep in mind that this is the same doujin group that thought that a Spelunker clone with Clannad characters and Strip Fighter: Kanon were good ideas. Now where’s Freudenstachel, damn it?

  • DieForOurShip says:

I guess they have Kanon characters too, I saw a few of their characters on their website.

RKS:Freudenstachel is coming. The diary section of the site has an update with a new pic or two about once a week lately.

It’s been announced to be released at I think 4 of the past 5 Comikets. I’m not throwing a ticker tape parade until the bloody thing is actually on my system.

Oh I know, but from the diary entries it seems to be showing more progress lately. About a year ago there was a question in English where he responded it was very delayed, but starting around April or so this year there have been the fairly consistent updates posted.

Also, Takkoman is scheduled now for C81 with a demo to be sold at C80 (www.illucalab.com/takkoman)
