Impressions:

An okay episode that really could have done with much, much better setup and presentation. The music especially seemed permanently stuck on "sad internal monologue" even while Himea’s alternate/genocidal/"protect Himea by killing everything" personality was repeatedly stabbing Taito to death. It wasn’t until Haruka went into some kind of possessed mode about 15 minutes in that they found "overly dramatic violins" and stuck with that for the rest of the episode unti Himea used the power of contrivance to break out and return us back to basically where we were at the start of the episode, complete with death rain still falling. The major difference now is that she’s apparently even hornier than before. And they’re inside.

They could have certainly used some setup for this though. Don’t think that I’ve missed the irony of this show having probably the slowest and worst paced first episode of this season and is now having issues in the opposite direction by shooting off in relatively random directions, both presenting and resolving things that seem like they should be juuuuust a tad bit important entirely too quickly. They could have at least noted where Gekkou and Mirai were the entire time that ‘Himea’ was painting the school with Taito’s internal organs. A portal opened about three minutes into the episode and… that was the last we saw of them. Maybe they fell in.
