Aria The Scarlet Ammo #04 — Cut Her in the EYES

May 5th, 2011

Is this what they’ve been saving the budget up for the last three essentially four episodes? Because it still feels like they forgot to draw half the frames. And now we have people with magical prehensile hair. It’s almost like watching Milky Holmes again, only somehow even more inane. And still with 20 minutes of barely animated talking heads. At least it didn’t end with CG unicycles. If they they had action like this, stilted and jerky as it is, every episode, I could forgive it, but alas. In any case, the show’s main virtue continues to be that it shows up on the internetorium a couple hours before the things I actually want to watch, although perhaps the digest version of a post fits it just fine. Like I ever have any idea what I’m doing anyway.

    Lol, Equilibrium much

  • du5k says:

I sure didn’t expect anyone to be able to animate gunkatam properly o.O

  • du5k says:

    typo, gunkata

  • Curio says:

More like a cheap imitation of gunkata I say.

  • Aex says:

I’d say next episode is make-or-break for me.This one was pretty good, so hopefully Kinji is done being the weak link that makes everything “bleh”. Hopefully…

  • Quik says:

Yeah, that fight scene really is an Equilibrium rip off. The only thing missing was the part of the fight with the Katanas.

    • SlashZero says:

Aria’s got them hidden away in the dimensional gap contained in her uniform, and since Rico seems to hate getting one-upped, maybe they’ll both pull them out and complete the picture next episode?

  • Anise_Punter says:

    *punts Riko*

  • bigbeastboy says:

its following the night novel…building up to the end of volume 1.. quite an epic fight really…

  • Jack says:

I’m going to stick with this show. There’s something about it I like. I realize the animation and writing is weak in spots, but the storyline interests me.

  • trexene says:

did anyone realized that aria did hit riko with a bullet in the face??

didn’t know magical bullet proof school uniforms nowadays protect faces too…

  • trexene says:

whoops, typo, i mean face though

  • ~xxx says:

    Some Equilibrium action…

    Never impressed me…
I’d like the movie… even better.

  • bk47 says:
