Impressions:

The less said about the cheap cheap insert song sequence, sword surfing, random four second bout of angst over being useless etc, the better. "It’s okay because she’s cute." Disturbingly close to reality. At least Horie Yui’s still a good singer. Unfortunately, that was almost half the episode. The scene between them wasn’t bad, particularly because at least with Milly, Shinku continues to stay away from the usual irritating protagonist pitfalls, but after an entire episode setting up the fight last week, it was a pretty lame nightcap to it all.

On to the action then… what there was of it at least. This would have been so much better if more than one of the fights had any actual effort put into it. Gaul vs Shinku was the only fight that lasted more than 20 seconds with every single one of them ending with Leon busting in and yelling at them for being idiots… not even always on screen. The Eclair vs Trio ‘Fight’ in particular was just her blocking their three attacks in the opening scene and then the next time we saw them, Leon had already comically disposed of them. Brioche and Wakamoto didn’t even happen at all before she let herself lose to Leon in a single attack. Gaul vs Shinku wasn’t awful, but it wasn’t great either. Yukki and Rico didn’t even take part in anything.
