Detective Opera Milky Holmes #11 — The Man of A Thousand Faces

Twenty, that’s a new level of terrifying.

Impressions:

Better episode than last week. I still don’t like all this drama, but at least they did a much better job of selling it this time around. I do think that they could have done a better job with Arsene though. It was obvious from episode one that for her, it was all about having worthy rivals. This episode ramped the crazy up to about eighty though. It wasn’t until everybody got their toys back at the end that she looked anything other than completely nuts. I blame Higurashi personally. And yes, I am including Twenty disguised as her in that equation. I do wish that they had made more of… or any kind of… reference to Henriette torching their room in their big ol’ "We can’t save her, we’re useless" spiel. It seems like that would be kind of a big deal.

I did get a chuckle out of how poorly thrown in an excuse they had to make up to let Nero use her toy. I expect corniness. That’s normal for the show, although I think it would have been far more humorous to have her stand there being useless. That, and all the people they helped during the series appearing in a row (some just brought up in flashback) to bestow random gifts upon them. I’m sad that Cordy just used the licky plate to block an attack instead of defeating Twenty with its obvious beauty. He had some great expressions this week as usual, particularly during the start of the Milky Holmes fight suicide tackle. I can’t tell if he’s traumatized by having Hercule latched to his crotch or excited. Possibly both.

The return of Milky Holmes.
