A three headed displacer beast? Uh, okay. If you say so.
Impressions:
The obligatory Hanzou episode is… well… very obligatory I guess. They didn’t really spend enough time or effort on her to elevate her to something above "helicopter maid with magic science glasses," nor does her backstory have any kind of hook to it.There was also some nonsense and jargon about some audio file and random latin, but the sum and total of that segment was "We have no idea what the plot of this show is." Nobody does really. ARMS is apparently already positioning this show for the long haul. I guess they’ve already squeezed as much blood from Ikkitousen as they can.
And then they were attacked by a displacer beast. I’m not sure where the displacer beast came from in the show’s mythos, and Naoe continues to be annoying. Possibly even moreso than before now that most of the cast is ignoring her, leaving her shrieking in the background most of the time when she’s on the screen. Hanzou’s too much of a lesbian to allow herself to become a master samurai too, so it was back to the Hanzoucopter and the genius plan of tying a feral animal to herself and then begging to be attacked. Frankly, I think she just wanted Sen to hit her and used the displacer beast as a good excuse.

Hanzo flashback was short and to the point. More length and people may start crying about too much exposition
And why so surpised for that invisible creature? It was a shikigami, like the giant jellyfish
