I can’t be the only one who can’t take Kugimiya seriously as a 3.5 foot tall nun.

Impressions:

A very boring setup episode chock full of that overly long and unnecessarily exposition that we all know and tolerate. JCStaff tried its usual tricks to liven it up, but unfortunately, the only trick they know is to randomly cram T&A into every possible crevasse possible, mostly in the form of figure hugging dresses and completely random underwear shots of nuns. Couldn’t they have at least let Anieze take a shot at Touma when he arrived? It wouldn’t have been much, but it would have at least been something in place of the endless stream of talking heads. Thankfully, the preview for next week’s a bit more action packed.

And also like usual, if you spent an entire episode with emotionless talking heads, then you probably didn’t say anything interesting. Faction A vs Faction B with Kaori in the middle of it… also, a scatterbrained nun with a wonderbra doing overtime wandering around to play the part of generic damsel in distress. I do find it amusing how a giant murder of nuns (what’s the term for a pack of nuns anyway?) descended onto a parking lot and set up a base camp. Nobody finds this the least bit strange at all? Forget the parking lot, how do you even move hundreds of nuns through Japan without attracting a swarm of fetish-crazed stalkers?
