A Certain Railgun’s Panties Impressions

August 14th, 2010

Somewhat disappointing. I expected Werk to at least get a full roster of bosses, but there are only four and they’re all pretty easy. If you’ve played both demos they’ve released, you’ve already played 3/8ths of the game. Yeah, there’s ‘hard’ mode too, but the patterns are exactly the same. You just don’t regen health between rounds. The dash controls are also a bit touchy, particularly when Kuroko drops her lagdozer on the screen. Misaka was also a pretty lame boss, despite the humor of her being Protoman. Oh well. I’d say that you get what you pay for, but at a third the cost of BMW, I don’t think so. English patch will be out Tuesday. Not because that’s how long it’ll take me, but because Tuesday’s a slow day and I want to finish this BBA block tonight. 3700 lines to go~

    Hey Aroduc, just a funny thing here, i right-clicked on this video and clicked on “Watch On YouTube”, do you want to know what were the “Suggestions”?, Fainting Goats, yeah, fainting goats were the videos on the right-side column, all 40+ of them

  • Man, that’s terrible. Most of the opponents are just running fixed patterns, and if you can learn them you can ace the game.

    And I don’t like what they’ve done with the characterization. Mikoto would never steal Uiharu’s panties, and why is she fighting her friends anyway?

    Kuroko as the final boss is the only thing that makes any sense.

    @Steven
    lol, you’re making a very common mistake. You should NEVER use canon logic to try and explain a fan-made game. It just won’t make sense no matter how you think about it and honestly I love fan games because they come up with stuff that otherwise wouldn’t happen.

    Though…I was disappointed with this game as well, it was too short, too easy, but not a bad waste of 15 or so mintues and Touma’s cameo and power of misfortune had me laughing! OH and the artwork is pretty good. (Thumbs up to the maker for the K-ON joke)
