Better than a puberty joke.

Impressions:

An extremely dull setup episode. There were a few parts that were decent for laughs, but it was about 90% Homura setup, 5% Uzume angst, and 1% Seo banging one of his Sekirei until it erupted in a localized plasma storm. The ‘plot’, as it is, was advanced with all the subtlety of a hippo shopping in a glassware boutique. GameMaster hands down new quest, peons all scramble to get a piece of the man-woman, whoever wins gains 150 exp, 1,000 GP, and +3 to Saving Throws against Breath Weapons. The most notable thing about this episode were the glimpses of the new pedophile-ready Sekirei and the aforementioned plasma storm. At least we finally have the answer as to what Seo’s been doing all this season.

There’s really not a whole ton else to say beyond that. Just a lot of Homura going on about his/her body being weird before deciding to go out and kill Minaka while Minato promises to Kuu to not let ‘that girl’ be lonely and sad. I did rather enjoy how Uzume stepped out of the house, then teleported back inside for the next shot. That’s one of a Sekirei’s less advertised abilities.
