Oboro, you are a huge ass.

Impressions:

Today’s a good day for OVAs. After the rather lackluster first couple OVAs for Utawarerumono, this one was great. Touka and Aruruu got lost in the forest and the rest of the episode was the one-woman Touka show of running around and trying to survive while Oboro laughed from behind the trees. And ogled her in her sports bra. It’s an argument in his favor for heterosexuality, and believe me, he needs them. Aruruu acted as the straight man for the most part, but her main role was to just watch Touka run around and inexpertly try to survive.

I have no idea what else to say. Uh, the production seemed a little more even than last time? Maybe? The last episode was before Christmas. I barely remember last season, let alone episodes from six months ago. It certainly wasn’t the horrorfest of last time, although I could have done without the tiger reaction face shot. The fight against the giant formless blob/land newt could have been more interesting I guess. It also was literally tacked on out of nowhere. Just… SUDDENLY LAND NEWT. Somebody grabbed the wrong random encounter table I guess.
