So dreamy…

Impressions:

Well, it starts out decently enough with zombies eating swords and fighting the Shinsengumi, but then it trails off into eighteen minutes of dreamy dreamy bishie talking heads. It takes them about 5 minutes to cover the premise of the show and then another 5 before they figure out that YUKIMURA! is a girl. After that, another ten minutes of talking heads finishes the episode. It wasn’t… quite what one could call a thrill a minute.

For Deen, it does look pretty good, at least when there’s anything to look at. Spending 18 minutes on talking heads is pretty cheap though, so I’m not about to give them any more praise than that. The music’s pretty nice too. The bishies are so dreamy too. So very very very dreamy. Like giant delicious slabs of man laid out on a buffet of…

*ahem*

So, yeah. After the opening sequence, it’s a bunch of pretty boys sitting in a circle talking to the helpless lonely girl… who they didn’t realize was even female despite tieing her entire body up in the usual freakish bondage knots. You can’t tell this came from some corny girly VN at all. Deen could have certainly done a worse job, but the sound work is about the only particularlly compelling facet of this one. Although… it was fun to mock and play "guess the bottom." Not that that’s enough to keep watching, but hey, it’s something.
