Betrayal Knows My Name #02 — Bishie Super Squad 1.5
April 18th, 2010
T-minus two episodes before their quest for five magical widgets begins.
Impressions:
Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh. What happened to my bishies watching each other pee? This time we just got ye olde generic "You have a mysterious power, come with me if you want to live." Koyasu’s close enough to the Terminator, but Sailor Uranus here is nowhere near as manly as Sarah Connor. Okay, so maybe the flashback about the evil bishie giving Sailor Uranus flowers to be friends was suitably unintenionally funny, but most of the rest was just pretty boys staring longingly at each other. Sure, everybody being Koyasu’s bitch is welcome and all, but that’s nothing new either. I guess the ugly CG wolves are new, but not in the good way. Basically, this whole episode should have been over in half the time, if even that.
So… meh… I have no idea what to do with Sundays even now. All three of this week’s episodes were incredibly dull, so that certainly didn’t help.,While I think this one has the most potential to improve (or decline) enough to become amusing to write about, especially after this episode, it feels like JCStaff is doing nothing but recycling Nabari, only without the humor or even the pretense of having action… or straight side characters for that matter. Bleh. Just… bleh.
