Fight Ippatsu! Juuden-chan!! #05 — Yellow Snowcones

July 23rd, 2009

Don’t eat them. For the love of Zeus.

Sorry this is a bit late. The raw didn’t show up on even the crappy sources until very late last night, and then my morning was booked solid from 8am to around 1pm.

Impressions:

I think this was probably the weakest episode to date, but it was still very enjoyable. We’re back to being all of 30 seconds of censorship away from the show being family friendly, and I’m starting to wonder just how cognizent the staff really is of what they’re tossing in. The yellow snow cone in place of the urine for Plug’s first beating was rather clever. Then they chose to split screen trails of urine at the end. I guess it’s better than if they had shown them in sequence, but it’s still two more leaky crotches than was required… as was the Millie tentacle raping at the beginning. At least that eventually led to Plug trying to get Arresta to pose in mid-tentacluation with an octopus.

Very little happened this week on the plot front for the first time since the show began. All we really had was a very brief introduction of what’ll probably end up being the antagonistic loli (who just sat there and built a sandcastle) and Arresta began questioning her work when she looked at Plug’s stats and saw how few repeaters Plug had in comparison. Sento’s boss also happens to be this seasons fourth or fifth lesbian pedophile, so I think I’m dead to them by this point.

Briefish Summary:

Sento, Hakone, Iono, and his pedophile boss all head to beach with Arresta and Plug (watching Magical Millie porn in an otaku’s car) in tow. Once they get there, Plug shows Arresta off to Sento in order to snap another embarrassed picture of her. The two end up kicking sand at each other, and onto Sento with bludgeoning resulting. Sento’s other harem looks confused. Plug drags Arresta off to go have her pose like Magical Millie, complete with tentacles, while Sento’s girls play volleyball. After Sento breaks a watermelon, Plug starts eating it out of his hands and gets the bat once again, this time with yellow snowcones. Shortly afterwards, Plug’s warning goes off, but it’s detecting a woman at only level E. Plug wants to check it out, and convinces Arresta to let her follow it up with blackmail. She listens in on a phonecall and imagines the woman has a terrible boss that’s sexually harassing her as the woman’s depression increases to C. They pass a little girl who grins at them.

Meanwhile, Arresta hangs out with Sento and gets lost in a daydream where he offers her food, but then gives her what she truly wants… the bat. Over with Plug, the woman floats out to sea on a little inflatable raft, getting more depressed. Sento asks where Plug ran off to, and Arresta takes it a bit personally, wanting to know why he’s always so concerned about them both and what they do. Before Sento can answer, Arresta gets an SOS from Plug. The woman’s dropped to B and there’s no power supply in the middle of the ocean.

Sento rushes off and grabs the car. Arresta presses what she asked before, saying their work has nothing to do with him. He replies that he can’t just ignore people he knows are in danger, even if they are strangers. Lives are on the line, so it does have to do with him. Arresta accepts that, and figures out that his plan is to use the car as the electrical supply, but they won’t be able to get close enough from the road, so she promises to protect him. Meanwhile, the woman’s depression is up to A. Plug gets swamped briefly, somewhat shorting out her camo, before being reminded by Arresta that she can just fly out. Sento drives the car off the cliff, and Arresta throws the plug to Plug before catching Sento. Plug catches it and successfully charges the woman, who goes into a working frenzy.

Afterward, Arresta gives Sento’s boss a little charge to ease the shock of her car being totaled. She then starts looking over their stats. Plug’s got fewer charges, but almost no repeaters. Before that line of thought goes far, Plug glomps Arresta and starts tickling her. In the melee, they punch/kick Sento, earning the bat once more. The girl lurks.

Preview:

More evil lurking loli.

That is, um, really quite the scenery, isn’t it? them two things sticking up like that?

  • Nanaya says:

    Almost family friendly? …Where?

    • Solaris says:

In the way it helps making families by raising male’s hormones levels…

      … maybe

  • J Greely says:

Wow, if they hadn’t included the Rouden-chan (short-circuit girls) in the credits, I’d say they’d abandoned the manga entirely; apparently the urine and the magical-girl show weren’t their biggest changes to the story.

Not that there’s anything wrong with having a beach episode, but by this point in the manga, Plug had nearly killed herself on an “impossible” job, leading Arrester to serve as her nurse, caring for her and bathing her while wearing a skimpy maid costume equipped with shima-pan. Maybe they’ll work that in later…

[Disclaimer: I’m not watching this show, and don’t plan to start, but I like the character designs enough to, um, “stay current”.]
