Tears to Tiara #12 — Stockholm Syndrome
June 21st, 2009
I’m not sure who the stupidest person in this episode was.
Impressions:
Let me summarize this episode. Riannon gets captured, gets a tour of the enemy’s base, and then walks out. They just let the wife of the enemy army wander out. There wasn’t even a single guard at the gate, just some random guy who had to run from another building to get there. She wasn’t even sneaking around. She was in a shambling zombie trance. What if Gael had done something intelligent, like attack? With the gates wide open and nobody standing guard, what would have stopped them? Riannon healing enemy troops holding her hostage and helping them get healthier so they can attempt to kill her friends was certainly pretty low on the intelligence ladder as well. I can understand if she couldn’t ignore a dying guy in front of her, but happily cooking for them after less than a day of captivity is going above and beyond your typical Stockholm Syndrome indoctrination period.
So in short, more or less total filler and a waste of time, probably meant to remind us who Taliesin and Gaius are. You’ll miss nothing by skipping it if you haven’t forgotten them.
