What are ninjas? I’ll take Potent Potables for $1000.

Impressions:

Well, it was definitely better than the last couple episodes, but I’m just glad we’re putting this uninspired Hisahide arc behind us. The fight against the Three Deaths wasn’t terrible, but it pales in comparison to any of Date and Yukimura’s fights, or anything Hondam did at all. The rest of Hisahide’s cadre seemed to consist of nothing but suicidal ninjas with comically giant bombs strapped to their backs. Most of the main characters can cause small thermonuclear explosions with their bare hands. A little gunpowder would hardly be a threat.

It does look like we should be getting back to more of the good stuff next week though, so I’m hopeful. Maybe we’ll finally actually get to see Kasuga and Kenshin fight. It looks like Takeda will be tangling with Mitsuhide as well. It certainly beats three unnamed grunts in a cloud of poison and bombs strapped to ninjas. Yoshihiro and his unholy love of ambushes also seems to be making an appearance, although he’s usually Hondam’s rival if memory serves.
