Polyphonica crimson S #07 — Da Capo

The musical term, you plebians, not the horrible show.

Impressions:

Well, not a particularly interesting episode until the last few minutes. We get an introduction to the generic evil caucus of villainy, about 10 minutes of Corti being preoccupied with the news of terrorism, and then the evil caucus attacks the school, leaving us with a cliffhanger (well, for this show at least) going into next week. In hindsight, I probably should have paid more attention to all the villains names at the start of the episode, but even with all the talk of teamwork, I assumed that they’d be just going at Corti one after the other, along with reintroducing themselves along the way. More the fool, I.

Really though, it wasn’t a bad setup episode, but until the end, most of the episode felt like a bit of a waste and/or even more rehashing of the usual themes for this show, which rates about a 2/10 on my interest level. I was even less happy that they spent almost a full minute on comic relief time filler while the loli spirit flailed at the dullahan dude. There’s a giant electric dog right there. Let’s see some sparks.

Don’t diss Da Capo…. it was actually ok….

    • Fumika says:

It’s Arudoc, if a show has even the slightest bit of exposition to develop a premise or setting he hates it.

  • Aroduc says:

Now now, I genuinely abhor the characters, plot, and production too.

  • The Phantom says:

So much potential here, but it seems is going to be wasted… just like the first season, why not make Corti go berserk and kill some ppl? or some actually decent fights between her and another spirit, was not she called the crimson annihilator or something like that??? but NO, all we see are some LAME jealous acts between corti-phoron-perserte that are as repetitive and annoying as phoron singing voice.
